We were told one week in and then it was confirmed two weeks in that the boys and I are no longer allowed back into the country. Soaking up as much time with family here that we haven't seen in months or years has turned into soaking up as much time as possible as a family unit before our man of the house has to go back to finish his 16 months in Turkey. We are heartbroken, but are blessed to know that everything has been orchestrated and laid out in front of us. We have only to trust.
There are breaks in our pictures and people that we saw that I don't have pictures of us with because of the fog I was in right after hearing we might not be allowed to return. I wept hard for several days and as hard as I tried to focus on the experiences we were having, I missed some of them with my camera. I don't have pictures with my Dad and Mel when they came down to see us, and I don't have pictures of much of the time we spent with my sister and her precious family.
There are a lot of photos to sift through, so there will be more to come soon.
